Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering has been in continuous pursuit of excellence in imparting technical education since 1997. It has established itself as an institution where academic excellence and creative thinking go hand in hand. The mission of Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is to sustain a community of individuals who are dedicated to the achievement of excellence and who share a vision related to Engineering, Management and Science.
Each course at Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering adopts a comprehensive and unified approach calling for rigorous study in a variety of fields both within the discipline and other related areas. Thus the student is prepared with a thorough understanding of science and technology related to his discipline and its implications.
Vidyavardhaka Sangha is a well established organization in Mysore. Veterans like Late Sahukhar Chennaiah & Late K Puttaswamy former minister of Karnataka established the sangha during the year 1949, which is dedicated to imparting quality education.
The vision of Vidyavardhaka Sangha is excellent education to the people of all caste, Creed and religion. At present Vidyavardhaka Sangha is under the able guidance of Sri. Gundappa Gowda, honorable president and Sri P Vishwanath, honorable secretary. Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering is one of the 8 educational institution run by the sangha. Ever since its inception in 1997, VVCE has been in continuous pursuit of excellence in imparting technical education. The mission of Vidya Vardhaka College of Engineering is to dedicate the students in the field of engineering, management and science.

Each department will have an association for the conduct of extra curricular activities such as Technical Lectures, Seminar, Quiz Competition etc.
Each association is maintaining a library of its own for the benefit of the students of the department.
HOSTEL FACILITIES
Separate hostel facilities are available for both boys and girls students.
PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS
With a firm belief that physical fitness leads to mental fitness, the college encourages various sports and games.
Sports facilities are provided to the students for both indoor and outdoor games. Various inter college sports tournaments are conducted by the college sports council. The students also take part in various inter collegiate and varsity sports meet.
The Sports Council consisting of senior staff members and the captains of the College teams organises an Annual Sport and Athletics meet as part of "VIDYUTH" which is an Inter Engineering College festival and encourages the students to participate in various VTU Inter collegiate sports activities.

Good number of city buses will ply from City Central Bus Stand.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES
Initiative shown by the students, augmented by constant encouragement provided by the faculty has resulted in a number of student activities. Students are participating in Blood Donation, AIDS Awareness, Tree Plantation, etc.
All the departments have their own association which are constantly striving hard to imbibe recent trends and technologies by arranging various seminars and lectures by well qualified and recognized personalities. There are various inter department competitions conducted giving chance to one and all.

Note:-
[1] The eligible students can apply to claim fee concession scholarships of Government of Karnataka in the beginning of the odd semester during each year in the prescribed forms available in the scholarship section.
[2] For endowment scholarship/financial assistance, eligible students can apply in the prescribed form available in the scholarship section as and when the college invites applications.
Students securing highest marks in every semester in each branch and rank holders in final year are given cash prizes from Vidya Vardhaka Sangha.
